Date district in Fukushima prefecture has been producing its industry of fiber and textile based on a flourishing sericulture since the Edo period , from 1603 to 1867.

We started to develop new products using natural dye stuffs which are associated with local agricultural products , another large industry in the area , in order to establish a new brand.

We looked for what agricultural product we can use to dye yarn and tried natural ingredient such as "persimmons","peaches" and "mulberries"

Since large quantities of agricultural wastes are produced, such as useless peels and branches, when Anpo-persimmons are made and fruits trees are pruned off in early spring ,we have been giving high priority to researches of effective use of materials normally considered as wastes.

We extracted material for dyeing from fruit itself ,peel ,branches and leaves. And many dyeing tests were done on the fabricks of silk, organic cotton and wool.

In 2010, we made sample some yarns and made one-pieces and sweaters.
In 2011,we succeeded in the manufucturing of plant origin dyeing products in 30 colors.

As the substances are natural plants around this area ,the quantity of products are limited in a year.

You can enjoy subtle difference in color of each products ,because natural condition effect upon growth of plant material.

We are sure that soft texture and well-matched colors create luxury feel and satisfy your rich life.

To provide and to improve more varieties of colors and quality improvement , we are still trying to develop these products.
